Dear Host Family,

Firstly, I would like to thank you for your interest in my application and now I would like to tell you some things about me, my family, my interests and of course about my experiences in taking care of children. This letter should give you an insight in my life and in my personality, so you can decide better if I am the right Au-pair for your family.

My name is Sabrina, I am 20 years old and I was born on the 21st of June 1995 in Osnabrück, Germany.

The first reason why I want to be an au pair in America is to come close with children for a year. I love children. I like to care for them, to play with them and to see how they are growing up.
It’s a big dream for me since a few years to live and work in America and it will be a great and formative experience to share my life with your family for a whole year. I’m really excited that it will become reality soon.
An other reason for me to stay a year abroad is having the opportunity to learn about a different culture. I want to learn a lot about the “American way of life“. I see the chance to improve my English skills, to discover a new part of the world and to meet new People.
Now I would like to tell you something about my experiences with children.
The Most of my Time, I take care of the Younger Part of my Family like my Cousins.
I babysit in a family with two children (girls at the age of 7 and 10 nowadays) here in Germany, since 2010. I often take care of them and do things like play in the garden, jump trampoline, play games, go sledges, made and paint something with them. It is a lot of fun for me to spend time with them. I help them with their homework’s, cook lunches, read histories or do a back massage when it is bedtime.  2015 I started to teach one Boy (age 12/ class 6) in maths, German and English and one girl (age16/class 10) in Maths and help them by homework. I learn with them for class test and do homework’s. We (the boy and I) learn English grammar and vocabulary. If they don’t understood something I try to explain it and gave them some tips and tricks to solve this tasks.
Since 2013, I have a godchild. He is every week here and I feed him, change diapers, put him to bed, play with him in the garden or at home, go to the zoo or to the playground. We often go for a walk with the baby carriages (mostly for a nap).
I had a lot of practical trainings, where I worked with children’s in a kindergarten where I played with the children’s outside at the playground, played games, painted and made something, had breakfast with the children’s, went to church, sung, played little role games with the hole group, had to supervising the children’s, done puzzles, cooked with them, red books, went to church and in the wood. I also learned them something about animals or something else (they had topics), done Sport with them, settle Quarrel, teached Regulate and changed diapers. I worked in a primary school, where I teached them in maths, German, sport and art. In their breaks I had supervise them. And I also worked in a child house, where I done household things (cooking, washing, cleaning, shopping), helped them by homework’s, drive them to their activities or dates, played with them, supervised them, done DVD evenings or some free activities like walking in the wood, play in the playground and went to a barefooted park…
Here are some details of my life. I grew up in a little town called Osnabrück in loser Saxony in the north-west of Germany. I live with my family and my grandparents in a double side house in xxx, administrative district of Osnabrück. My brother (17 years old) goes to school. My mother  works as a xxx and my father  works as a xxx. My family stands behind me, support me and help me to make my dream come true. We have a good realationship to each other. Next year I will be done with my school education which calls „Fachhochschulreife“ in the healthy and care direction (it’s the A level in a special direction)  and afterwards I would like to go somewhere else in order to work – for example – in your family, as an au pair.
I have passed my driver’s license in June 2012 and I drive almost daily without any accidents or tickets since that date. During my lessons in the driving school I have also attended a first aid course.

I would describe myself as an honest, responsible, positive and open-minded woman who is interested in getting to know new countries and people. My Friends describe me as a good listener and a caring, respectful and dependable person.
I enjoy dancing, listen to music, go outside for a walk or jogging, meeting my friends, watching new films at the cinema, go shopping and travelling through Europe. Furthermore I love to play with my dog and go for a walk with him.
Why you should choose me as your au pair? It’s easy, because I am really patient in caring for kids and I love Kids. Due to my trustworthy nature, host parents do not have to worry about consigning their children to my care. The safety and well-being of your children is my priority. You can absolutely rely on me. I am a faithful and helpful person, who delights to spend her time with children. Your kids are always going to have fun with me, because I am open-minded for their ideas spending the afternoon. I would spend much time with the host family, be a part of them and I would love to look after your children, help with the household and learn more about a new city, country and the culture.
I would like to wish you a great day and thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my life a little bit better. I hope that I am the right person to take care of your children and I am looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Your sincerely
Sabrina F.
